Ivory Lace Fingerless Gloves by PamGabriel Ivory Lace Fingerless Gloves by PamGabriel
These turned out really nice. They're made of bamboo thread, so they're nice and cool to the touch, and fit perfectly. I have no real use for them, but it's really hard for me to pass up a project made out of thread, especially when they are fingerless gloves. I love lacework, and it's always nice to make something wearable, too.

This is so very beautiful. I saw your photo and had to try. It took me awhile to understand the pattern and I think you've adopted it a bit. At least you've made it longer... but how did you make it fit your arms that well? I've reduced the chain in the beginning to 64. Now I can just get it over my hand but it's still pretty loose on the arm. It looks perfekt on your arms.... how did you do it? I've also changed the beginning of the row. I'm starting each row wih a shell now so you cannot tell the end/beginning of the row that easy anymore. Any help or tricks that you've worked out for this project are very much welcome.

How are they for taking a break in the middle of working on them? I don't usually get very long periods of time to work on projects, so patterns that aren't going to punish me for stopping mid-row/round are the type of patterns I try to work on right now.

I think you should be fine. It's a repeat of 4 rows, and that's it. I think as long as you have a means of remembering which row you're on, you'll be fine. I would recommend getting through the motif once or twice over a shorter period to get the hang of it, though. It can be a little weird at first.

Spring, especially! I'm curious how they'll hold up even in the summer. The bamboo thread really is very cool to the touch.
